How To Convert Your Public Instagram Account Into Private Account 

To convert your public Instagram account to private, follow these steps:


1. Open the Instagram app on your device.

2. Go to your profile by tapping on your profile picture in the bottom right corner.

3. Tap on the three horizontal lines in the top right corner to open the menu.

4. Select "Settings" from the menu.

5. Tap on "Privacy" and then select "Account Privacy."

6. Toggle the switch next to "Private Account" to enable it. The switch should turn blue.

7. You may be prompted to confirm your decision. If so, confirm by tapping "Switch to Private."

8. Your account is now private, and only approved followers will be able to see your posts and stories.


Keep in mind that when you switch to a private account, any new followers will need to be approved by you before they can see your posts.
